這次要翻譯的是在十幾年前被米津刪除的歌曲「Tinkle Bell」，中文是「叮噹鈴」。
然後…恩……對，前言就這樣 (?

因為原曲已經被刪除的關係，目前網路上只剩初音唱的與真人唱的半首曲子。

從那一天起這條街道變得出奇地安靜
あの鈴の音を懐かしむ人も少なくなかった
且不乏懷念那個鈴聲的人

四、關於「Tinkle Bell」
起初基於好奇心，我把「Tinkle Bell」扔到Google，看會跑出什麼。
結果映入眼簾的盡是迪士尼的奇妙仙子小叮噹!?
然後看了一下相關介紹才曉得迪士尼動畫《小飛俠》其實改編於詹姆斯．馬修．巴利(James Matthew Barrie) 於1904出版的小說《彼得潘：不會長大的男孩》，而奇妙仙子小叮噹就是源自於這本小說。
然後眼尖的人可能會發現，小叮噹的英文不是「Tinkle bell」嗎? 怎麼上圖英文是顯示「Tinker bell」? 意思變成了補鍋匠鈴噹。
這是因為在原著中小叮噹不只會發出叮噹聲，還會修補鍋碗瓢盆，所以原著才會用「Tinker bell」作為小叮噹名子，只是中文似乎為了方便小孩子理解而沒把這層意思翻出來。
小說內容 : she is called Tinker Bell because she mends the pots and kettles.
接著大家可能會很困惑米津寫的這首歌是否還跟小叮噹有關係?
我個人認為是有的，因為歌詞中「喜愛惡作劇的少年」就像在說不願意長大的男孩彼得潘。
因此接下來我要來幫大家複習一下有百年歷史的童話故事，同時也會補充一些動畫沒提到的背景設定與沒畫出來的劇情。

五、關於《Peter Pan》
《Peter Pan》主要在講述溫蒂、約翰和邁克爾三位姊弟與會飛的少年彼得潘前往夢幻島探險的故事。
島上除了有穿著野獸毛皮的失落的男孩們，還有印地安人、美人魚以及彼得潘的宿敵虎克船長。
天上右邊第二顆星星就是夢幻島(Neverland)的所在位置，朝著星星一直飛到早上就能抵達。
“Second to the right,” said Peter, “and then straight on till morning.”

只要孩童掉出嬰兒車且七天內無人認領就會成為失落的男孩並被送去夢幻島，在這島上大家永遠不會長大。
“With the lost boys.” “Who are they?” “They are the children who fall out of their perambulators when the nurse is looking the other way. If they are not claimed in seven days they are sent far away to the Neverland to defray expenses. I’m captain.”

當有孩童死去時，彼得潘會陪他們走一段路，以防他們受到驚嚇。
At first Mrs. Darling did not know, but after thinking back into her childhood she just remembered a Peter Pan who was said to live with the fairies. There were odd stories about him, as that when children died he went part of the way with them, so that they should not be frightened.

彼得潘本身也是失落的男孩，他曾經飛回家找親生母親，結果發現自己的床上躺著另一位嬰兒，好似自己完全被遺忘了。
“Long ago,” he said, “I thought like you that my mother would always keep the window open for me, so I stayed away for moons and moons and moons, and then flew back; but the window was barred, for mother had forgotten all about me, and there was another little boy sleeping in my bed.”

彼得潘睡著時經常做一些很痛苦的夢，而且不管他哭得多淒慘，夢境都會持續好幾個小時。
Sometimes, though not often, he had dreams, and they were more painful than the dreams of other boys. For hours he could not be separated from these dreams, though he wailed piteously in them. They had to do, I think, with the riddle of his existence.

彼得潘會在溫蒂睡著時在她床尾吹風迪，或是躲在窗外偷聽溫蒂媽媽講故事，也正因為他喜歡聽故事，所以才會把影子遺失在溫蒂家。
She explained in quite a matter-of-fact way that she thought Peter sometimes came to the nursery in the night and sat on the foot of her bed and played on his pipes to her.

彼得潘不只聽得懂星星說的話，也聽得懂仙子說的話。
So as soon as the door of 27 closed on Mr. and Mrs. Darling there was a commotion in the firmament, and the smallest of all the stars in the Milky Way screamed out : “Now, Peter!”

仙子的語言聽起來就像金鈴發出的一串叮噹聲。
“The only sound I hear,” said Wendy, “is like a tinkle of bells.” “Well, that’s Tink, that’s the fairy language. I think I hear her too.”

當第一個嬰兒第一次笑的時候，那笑聲會裂成千個碎片，然後到處蹦跳，而這就是仙子誕生的開始。
“You see, Wendy, when the first baby laughed for the first time, its laugh broke into a thousand pieces, and they all went skipping about, and that was the beginning of fairies.”

仙子平時住在樹上的巢裡，淡紫色的巢是男仙子的，白色的是女仙子的，藍色的則是分不清自己是男是女的蠢仙子的。
They live in nests on the tops of trees; and the mauve ones are boys and the white ones are girls, and the blue ones are just little sillies who are not sure what they are.

每個男孩女孩都有一個仙子，可是只要孩子長大不再相信仙子的存在，並且說出「我不相信仙子」，那麼仙子就會落下來死掉。
“there ought to be one fairy for every boy and girl.” “Ought to be? Isn’t there?” “No. You see children know such a lot now, they soon don’t believe in fairies, and every time a child says, ‘I don’t believe in fairies,’ there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead.”

小叮噹喜歡彼得潘，想當彼得潘的仙子，但彼得潘完全不領情，因為照道理小叮噹身為女性是不能當男性的仙子。
He tried to argue with Tink. “You know you can’t be my fairy, Tink, because I am an gentleman and you are a lady.”
.
小叮噹身上的仙子粉塵(fairy dust)可以幫助純真、快樂、無憂無慮的孩童飛起來，如果沒有仙子粉塵，或是孩童本身開心不起來就無法飛。
Of course Peter had been trifling with them, for no one can fly unless the fairy dust has been blown on him.

小叮噹在溫蒂抵達夢幻島之前是認真想弄死她，此外他們其實在夢幻島住了好幾天，不像動畫只去一個晚上。
I don’t know whether the idea came suddenly to Tink, or whether she had planned it on the way, but she at once popped out of the hat and began to lure Wendy to her destruction.

在夢幻島上，「長大」對於彼得潘來說是違反規定的，因此會把他們thin out，我看有些翻譯是直接翻譯讓他們餓死。
The boys on the island vary, of course, in numbers, according as they get killed and so on; and when they seem to be growing up, which is against the rules, Peter thins them out.

有時彼得潘會獨自出門，然後帶著一具屍體回來。
He often went out alone, and when he came back you were never absolutely certain whether he had had an adventure or not. He might have forgotten it so completely that he said nothing about it; and then when you went out you found the body; and, on the other hand, he might say a great deal about it, and yet you could not find the body.

虎克船長在把孩子們綁走的同時，偷偷地在彼得要喝的水裡下毒(動畫中是改成炸彈)，不過當彼得要喝下時是小叮噹搶先一步，代替他一飲而盡。
“It was poisoned, Peter,” she told him softly; “and now I am going to be dead.” “O Tink, did you drink it to save me?” “Yes.”

在小叮噹喝下毒藥後，彼得對心中正幻想著夢幻島的小朋友喊話，要他們如果真的相信仙子存在就拍手回應，因而讓小叮噹重新活了過來。
“If you believe,” he shouted to them, “clap your hands; don’t let Tink die.” Many clapped.

在孩子們與虎克船長一夥人的戰鬥中，虎克船長最後被鱷魚吃了，而孩子們總共殺了15名海盜。
Bad form,” he cried jeeringly, and went content to the crocodile. Thus perished James Hook. “Seventeen,” Slightly sang out; but he was not quite correct in his figures. Fifteen paid the penalty for their crimes that night

孩子們得到溫蒂的稱讚，而且當邁克爾指著自己是在哪裡殺了海盜時，溫蒂開心極了。
She praised them equally, and shuddered delightfully when Michael showed her the place where he had killed one

在彼得潘打敗虎克船長，要把孩子們送回倫敦的家時有惡作劇一下，他搶先抵達家中，將溫蒂媽媽為孩子們敞開的窗戶給關上，他認為這麼做的話溫蒂和其他孩子們就會以為媽媽根本沒有盼望他們回來，並失望地跟自己一起回到夢幻島上，可是當彼得潘看到溫蒂媽媽因思念孩子而落淚時還是心軟了，重新把窗戶敞開了。
“Quick Tink,” he whispered, “close the window; bar it! That’s right. Now you and I must get away by the door; and when Wendy comes she will think her mother has barred her out; and she will have to go back with me.”

後來溫蒂、約翰和邁克爾順利地與父母團員，此外還收養了六位失落的男孩，這段在動畫中同樣沒畫出來。
“George!” Mrs. Darling exclaimed, pained to see her dear one showing himself in such an unfavourable light. Then he burst into tears, and the truth came out. He was as glad to have them as she was, he said, but he thought they should have asked his consent as well as hers, instead of treating him as a cypher in his own house.

至於彼得潘，因為他不想長大，不想上學，不想上班，所以打算和小叮噹兩個人一起回到夢幻島。
She told Peter that she had adopted all the other boys, and would like to adopt him also. “Would you send me to school?” he inquired craftily “Yes.” “And then to an office?” “I suppose so.” “Soon I would be a man?” “Very soon.” “I don’t want to go to school and learn solemn things,” he told her passionately.

取而代之地是，彼得潘和溫蒂約定好，每到春季就會回來找溫蒂，並將她帶回自己的住處一起做春季大掃除一個禮拜。
Wendy would have preferred a more permanent arrangement; and it seemed to her that spring would be long in coming; but this promise sent Peter away quite gay again.

然而，彼得潘的記性非常差，經常忘記依照約定回來找溫蒂，甚至連虎克船長和小叮噹也都忘了。
“Don’t you remember,” she asked, amazed, “how you killed him and saved all our lives?” “I forget them after I kill them,” he replied carelessly. When she expressed a doubtful hope that Tinker Bell would be glad to see her he said, “Who is Tinker Bell?” “O Peter,” she said, shocked; but even when she explained he could not remember.

再之後彼得潘有很久一段時間沒再來找溫蒂，久到大家都長大了，邁克爾成了火車司機，約翰留了鬍子也有了小孩，其他失落的男孩們有的當了法官，有的每天一手拿公事包一手拿雨傘地去上班，有的因娶貴族為妻而成了領主。
All the boys were grown up and done for by this time; so it is scarcely worth while saying anything more about them. You may see the twins and Nibs and Curly any day going to an office, each carrying a little bag and an umbrella. Michael is an engine-driver. Slightly married a lady of title, and so he became a lord. You see that judge in a wig coming out at the iron door? That used to be Tootles. The bearded man who doesn’t know any story to tell his children was once John.

那麼溫蒂呢? 後來溫蒂結了婚，還生了個女兒，名為Jane，而且經常問關於彼得潘的故事。
Years rolled on again, and Wendy had a daughter. This ought not to be written in ink but in a golden splash. She was called Jane, and always had an odd inquiring look, as if from the moment she arrived on the mainland she wanted to ask questions. When she was old enough to ask them they were mostly about Peter Pan. She loved to hear of Peter, and Wendy told her all she could remember in the very nursery from which the famous flight had taken place.

最後的最後，彼得潘又再次出現在長大的溫蒂面前，儘管對於溫蒂長大感到相當難過，但她很高興Jane可以陪他回夢幻島做春季大掃除，而Jane長大後生的女兒Margaret同樣也願意和彼得潘回夢幻島做春季大掃除，如此周而復始。
Jane is now a common grown-up, with a daughter called Margaret; and every spring cleaning time, except when he forgets, Peter comes for Margaret and takes her to the Neverland, where she tells him stories about himself, to which he listens eagerly. When Margaret grows up she will have a daughter, who is to be Peter’s mother in turn; and thus it will go on, so long as children are gay and innocent and heartless.

六、動畫內容補充
1. 不只小叮噹想弄死溫蒂，美人魚也想弄死溫蒂。

2. 彼得潘與失落的男孩們所住的地方叫「Hangman’s Tree」，意思是劊子手的樹。
仔細看的話，可以發現樹上掛著絞刑用的繩子，若看不清楚可以參考下圖。

七、我個人對於歌曲的解讀
喜歡惡作劇的少年 搖了鈴後便跑走 那手裡握著的是白色的花 是要送給誰呢 ? 稍微粗魯地對待我 一邊羞紅著臉一邊逃也似地離開了 令那個鈴聲在街道上響徹
從彼得潘的故事中可以知道，仙子是從嬰孩的笑聲中誕生，而仙子說的話又像一串鈴鐺聲，所以歌詞中的「鈴聲」應該是指「小孩子天真無邪的笑聲」，可能是少年發出的，或是他手上如搖鈴的白花發出的。
為何花也會發出笑聲呢? 後面我會繼續解釋。

這段可能單純在描述少年不成熟的性格，又或是在跟你說明少年手上的白花從何而來。

我認為這一段應該是在描述少年與仙子一起在天空中翱翔的畫面，同時安撫正陷入悲傷的人們，與小說中彼得潘會和星星說話又會陪伴死亡的孩童的設定相呼應。
在喜歡惡作劇的少年 旁邊的女孩 臉頰潔白得 就像那時的花一樣的女孩 若試著問 是情侶嗎 ? 就會把眼睛睜得大大的 宛如某一天染上的紅色 身體 用了全部來否定
根據「臉頰潔白得就像那時的花一樣的女孩」這句歌詞，我認為在米津的故事中，仙子是從聽到孩童笑聲的花中誕生的，而且這位女孩模樣的仙子就像小叮噹喜歡彼得潘一樣喜歡著少年，只是女孩比起小叮噹更加害羞。
在小說中小叮噹總共對彼得潘罵了五次「You silly ass」。

所謂「淡淡地排在一起」我想可能是因為女孩模樣的仙子可以發光，而且會伴在少年身邊飛翔，所以兩位才會看起來淡淡的。
至於「花蕾 盼望兩道陽光」的意思我很不確定，不知是出自哪裡的詩句，還是想表達少年與女孩對未來充滿了期待，並且還會將這樣的正向思維傳遞給其他人。
少年似乎和那位白色的孩子打了勾勾 不告訴我內容只是惡作劇般地笑著 少年向我揮手說著 再會 然後跑出去了 就像照亮黑暗的環行彗星一樣
依照小說中溫蒂與彼得潘做的春季大掃除約定，少年與女孩的打勾勾內容大概是「每到固定時間就會一起回來探望米津」，也因此米津才會形容男孩與女孩是「照亮黑暗的環行彗星」。

或許因為米津很會編撰故事，而且過去經常孤獨一人，宛如失落的男孩一般，所以才會幻想如彼得潘一樣愛聽故事的少年與女孩能夠找到自己，並陪伴在自己身邊。
從那一天起這條街道變得出奇地安靜 且不乏懷念那個鈴聲的人
所謂「那一天」應該是指「變成大人那一天」。
最後少年覺得米津的思想不斷變得成熟，變得像個大人，自此失望地和女孩一起離他而去。

八、歌曲畫面
由於〈Persona Alice〉中有一幕幾乎和上圖一樣，所以這張圖應該是米津自己畫的沒錯。
然後根據圖中地上的花束，我在想米津可能覺得小說最後被彼得潘徹底遺忘的小叮噹很可憐，所以才想為她獻上花束，以及為她寫下〈Tinkle bell〉一曲，讓她在曲中的白花裡以女孩的姿態重新誕生，這樣就能和如彼得潘一樣愛惡作劇，但個性比彼得潘更溫柔的少年正式交往了。

九、結語
驚不驚喜? 意不意外? 你以為快毀到支離破碎的童年在最後被米津給救回來了欸嘿 (ゝ∀･)⌒☆
然後我看書的速度還是一如既往的慢，都找中文版來看了還是花了兩天多才看完_(´ཀ`」 ∠)_
另外剛看完小說時，我其實一度以為最後的歌詞「且不乏懷念那個鈴聲的人」是在暗示女孩死了。
不過既然有「懷念」兩個字，就代表這次有被好好記得，只要大家心中有仙子，仙子就能一直活下去，而且歌曲畫面中還有花束出現，所以對Tinker bell而言，應該不會是個太悲傷的結局。
